The Future of Access Control:

Gallagher's Cutting-Edge Technology

Gallagher access control is a state-of-the-art building management program that regulates commercial site access, maintains security, and increases business efficiency.
When someone waves an access control card or mobile credential over a reader, it sends a request to a controller, which makes a rapid decision and then signals the door lock to open.

Integrated Identity Management

The Gallagher Access Control Starter Kit includes everything you need to get a small site up and running with integrated access and alarm management. This cabinet holds all of the specialized equipment responsible for comprehensive site control and is fully pre-fitted to speed up installation and reduce lead time.
Our readers allow access by detecting credentials that meet a range of requirements, including proximity cards, biometrics, and mobile credentials. The readers then send the access request information to a controller for a decision, which is typically made in real time.
The Gallagher access control has been designed to create efficiencies and ease of operation and allows for interfacing with existing systems. This includes integrating digital intercom systems into the Gallagher system and providing one platform for operators to manage access control and intercoms through the Command Centre graphical user interface. Events are also buffered in the controllers and can be transmitted to the Command Centre if communications with the originating system are lost.

Easy Configuration & Language Translations

Gallagher’s centralized control software, Command Centre, enables easy management of various security elements through one platform. The system integrates seamlessly with other security systems, including video surveillance and intrusion detection, for a holistic approach to site security.
Easily migrate cardholder data from other security systems using the Gallagher Enterprise Data Interface (EDI) tool. Gallagher access control allows for manual one-off migrations or automatic updates triggered by changes in a primary employee database.
Supports multi-factor authentication with options for combining card-based access control with PINs and biometric devices to ensure that only authorized individuals gain entry. This enables a level of security that surpasses that offered by traditional standalone systems. Gallagher provides a wide selection of readers to meet the needs of various sites and building types. A teardrop-shaped reader is designed to be mounted over many standard international electrical flush boxes and is ideal for use in exterior environments. The Prox Plus Mifare reader is a card and PIN unit, perfect for buildings requiring a higher level of security.

Action on Access

Gallagher access control works with your existing or new elevator systems to enable a more holistic security approach. Standard Gallagher Elevator High-Level Integrations (HLI) allows the system to monitor and gallagher access control to floors from within elevator cars, reducing I/O usage and minimizing the number of stops, which is especially useful in high-traffic situations. Destination-based dispatching is also possible, with elevator systems allowing passengers to travel to similar floors to minimize stops and congestion.
Imaging System Integration
Integration with third-party systems can be achieved using the Gallagher Controller Application Programming Interfaces (API). Gallagher’s bidirectional Active Directory Cardholder Sync allows changes to cardholder records in the Gallagher Command Centre to be replicated directly to your Microsoft Active Directory. In addition, the Gallagher Image Link API enables visual recordings from supported DVR, NVR, or security systems to be linked to Gallagher Command Centre alarms. The ability to recall stored video footage associated with an alarm is a powerful security tool for investigating incidents efficiently.

Broadcast Notifications

Gallagher access control features are rounded out by powerful communication tools that allow a single operating platform to manage total site security. When a Lockdown override is triggered, pre-configured broadcast notifications can be sent to all or selected cardholders across the site to provide instructions and alerts.
Gallaghers’ bidirectional Microsoft Active Directory synchronization feature allows for migrating existing cardholder records from a primary system to the Gallagher Command Centre database and vice versa. This is an excellent tool for organizations that consolidate their security systems into a single software platform to manage people and security, reducing maintenance and administration costs.
Integrated Locker Management enables a site to automatically allocate and monitor locker access control using various flexible allocation rules, all natively from within the Gallagher Command Centre. This solution aims to streamline visitor and contractor access commissions. It helps to comply with the POPI Act by capturing all required details, providing escort identification, and recording time on site.
